Medium - Australian recycled pure uncoated copper and recovered beads from discarded jewellery and a couple of necklaces purchased on the streets of Italy.
A couple of rip-off designer necklaces picked up at a street stall in Italy have been deconstructed to produce this bright and pretty outfit accessory.
The artist has explored tight and neat weaving while keeping the spines straight.

Copper is a magical natural product. Copper does not rust however it will age if subjected to different conditons. The changing of colour in copper that can happen over many years is often desired however if the piece is polished with any of the many polishes available, then the colouring may not appear.
