Medium - Australian recycled pure uncoated copper with beads from discarded necklaces along with shells.
My passion is to create beautiful, inspiring pieces sustainably from 100 % recovered and/or recycled items. This piece is designed to last forever. However, it can also be fully recycled.
Handmade with recycled re-milled Australian pure uncoated copper, Burst also has a mixture of beads and stone that have had a previous purpose and carefully weaved to tell their own 6 Beads are my pallet, which is restricted by what beads have been discarded and found their way to me.
Burst is an advancement on my work inspired by the awe of Spider webs with morning dew and the way they stand proud and stunningly exquisite in nature yet they do not obscure the vision of the beauty beyond, rather, enhance the experience as we look through the spider’s extraordinary artwork.
By looking through Burst, we find that what is close to us also embraces what is beyond.
Burst
Copper is a magical natural product. Copper does not rust. However, it will age if subjected to different conditions. The changing of colour in copper that can happen over many years is often desired. However, if the piece is polished with any of the many polishes available, then the colouring may not appear.
