Medium - Australian recycled pure uncoated copper with discarded beads being vintage handmade ceramic beads from Kilimanjaro.
Zag celebrates these extraordinary shaped beads from Kilimanjaro, handmade circa 1970s, that are popping with colour. This heavy, weighted, sculptural piece has been designed to be decorative. However, it can also be functional.
The tight weaving and hammer finish add to the drama of 'Zag'.

Copper is a magical natural product. Copper does not rust however it will age if subjected to different conditons. The changing of colour in copper that can happen over many years is often desired however if the piece is polished with any of the many polishes available, then the colouring may not appear.
